where two settle in
A quiet shared home for couples who live together. Tasks, bills, moods, love notes — without the chaos, create the calm.
Mantel is in private beta. Waitlisters get early access and Originator status.
A few things you'll find on it
Small surfaces for shared life.
Tasks & routines
Who does what
Recurring chores, one-off errands, taking responsibility for the daily tasks - Who's on dinner tonight?
Bills
A quiet ledger
Monthly, quarterly, yearly. Who pays. When it's due. No pestering, just a soft surface that knows.
Moods
How are we?
A small daily check-in. Side by side, over time, a chart of how the week felt — for both of you.
Love notes
The little messages
Sweet things you'd otherwise text and lose. Saved, hearted, a quiet record of what you said to each other.
Date ideas
For the next quiet evening
A running list. No pressure, no scheduling. Just somewhere to put the things you want to do together. Remember to put each other first.
Anniversaries & birthdays
Days that matter
Counted forward, never forgotten. Mantel quietly remembers, so you can quietly show up.
Built from our own home
Made by Josh & Nicole, for couples like us.
Mantel started because nothing quite serviced the way we live together. The chores, bills, moods, little notes, and date ideas were scattered across messages, memory, and half-kept lists.
We wanted somewhere softer than a productivity app and calmer than a family organizer — a small shared place for the ordinary work of making a home together.
Common questions
Things people ask.
Is Mantel only for romantic couples?
Mantel is designed for couples who share a home. It may work for other two-person households, but the product is written and shaped around partners building a life together.
Is it free?
Yes, during the private beta. We may introduce paid tiers later, but the first 100 signups (Originators) get free access in perpetuity.
Can my partner see everything I add?
Yes. Mantel is a shared product — both partners have full access to all couple data: tasks, events, bills, moods, notes, date ideas. There's no private mode within a couple. If something needs to be private, it shouldn't go in Mantel.
What about my data and privacy?
We don't sell data, run ads, or train AI models on your content. We don't browse your love notes or moods for marketing. Staff access is limited to support, debugging, safety, and operational needs. Stored on Supabase. Read the full privacy policy.
How do I get an invite?
Join the waitlist above. We're rolling out invites in small batches as the product matures. The earliest signups get Originator status with lifetime free access.
Will there be an iOS / Android app?
Eventually. Right now Mantel is a web app you can install to your home screen on Android (Add to Home Screen) or iOS (Share → Add to Home Screen). It works the same as a native app for most things. Real native apps come later.
What if my partner doesn't want to use it?
Then Mantel won't work — it needs both of you. The product is built around two-person input. If only one of you is engaged, the moods, love notes, and shared tasks become lopsided.
Who's behind Mantel?
Josh and Nicole, a couple based in Ireland. Mantel is a small indie project we built because nothing felt quite right for the way we share a home. We're growing it carefully, from our own use first. Email hello@mantel.so any time.
Made for two
Most apps are built for productivity, or for families. Mantel is built for the two of you — for the small, ordinary, beautiful work of making a home together.
